Awards & Scholarship Programme
The Thomas F. Meagher Foundation’s Awards and Scholarship Programme has been running annually since 2016. This education programme allows students from secondary schools across the State to enter the Thomas F. Meagher Awards and Scholarship Programme in association with our sponsor The Irish American Partnership. Students have the opportunity to win one of many category awards or an overall top scholarship prize with winning students invited to attend the annual awards presentation ceremony.

The Awards and Scholarship Programme 2024 is open now.

The Foundation brings the opportunity to enter the Awards and Scholarship programme with thanks to the Irish American Partnership who kindly sponsor this very important programme.

The Awards and Scholarship programme runs annually during the second school term and winners are announced around Easter each year.  You can learn about the past winners below.

MArking Scheme

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the history of the flag and commitment to the message of peace and inclusion – 50 Marks
  • Innovation (original and unique) – 25 Marks
  • Quality of Entry (Photos, Video, Composition of Writing, Overall Presentation) – 25 Marks.

 Entries can be made in many different formats such as Artwork, Poem, Essay (typed and no longer than 500 words), Video/Audio Clip, Music/Song/Dance or via Social media entry
